We
are getting ready for our Open House/Swap Meet on April 15th.
The first R1200GS Adventure has made it to the store, and it is very cool.
I wish I had a 400 mile bladder! BMW has put a lot of advertising
money into the main motorcycle magazines highlighting April as GS month.
In keeping with that theme, we are going to have a very cool (GS)
display at the open house as well as great food, games, prizes and
of course the swap meet.
The 27th – 30th of this month is the second annual Adventure Rally put on by Jim Hyde and RawHyde adventures in Death Valley. About a dozen of Iron Horse customers made it to the event, including myself. We had a blast! There are many different levels of off road rides available to take during the rally, as well as some fantastic paved roads. The rally is definitely billed as an off road rally for the BMW GS and other enduros, but all bikes are welcome. We will have sign up sheets for the Rally at the door of the open house, or as usual, you can find them at www.rawhyde-offroad.com. Make sure you sign up fairly soon if you want to attend. Jim is also offering free admission to the rally if you attend an adventure camp beforehand. For details on that, call me or Jim Hyde.
We have had a great first quarter, and because of our bike sales we will have a great selection for the spring. Remember, we will be getting the new K1200GT and the R1200S in May and June respectively. I cannot wait for either, but I know that many of you are waiting to compare the new RT with the GT. We will send out an email update to let you all know when they arrive.

your own" in the backcountry.And if you sign up for either training school, you get to come to the rally for free! Our May and June classes are already nearly full, but we still have room in April...
Speaking of April, Its the official start of the "Riding Season" and I think it's going to be a great year! The new BMW GS Adventure is coming out in April, (this is the bike I have been waiting for...I'm buying one) All the BMW dealers are having open houses in April... and as you know they are all a big help in putting these "Adventure Rallies together" so stop by and visit them during the month...
